When Monkey's became Dragons

Smart Monkey's Beth and Suzie recently took part in the Tanbridge House School enterprise event for year 10 students. Modelled on the popular TV show Dragon's Den, students were split into groups and asked to come up with an idea for a new product that would then be presented to the judging panel made up of teachers and local business people.
Beth and Suzie spent 2 afternoons advising student groups on marketing and business, as well as helping them to develop their ideas. Just a few of those ideas included design your own ice skates, musical toothbrushes, i-pod pillows and fruit flavoured pen lids.
The final Dragon's Den presentation day was on Thursday 27th March, when all groups had the opportunity to present their ideas to the panel and be grilled by the judges.
After much debate the overall winning idea was a voice activated tv. The winners enjoyed £50; vouchers each to spend at County Mall in Crawley.
We look forward to next years enterprise event.
