Bethanie Nash

As the Founder of Smart Monkey Marketing, I manage our clients' marketing campaigns from conception to conclusion, ensuring that they are always as happy as Larry.

I am the proud owner of a Post Graduate Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). I also hold Chartered Marketer Status which is awarded by the CIM in recognition of achievement in practical experience and expertise in each calendar year.

My past experience has included both client side and agency marketing work, and I've been lucky enough to work with companies as diverse as Jaguar, Toshiba Communications, Visit Florida and A J Walter Aviation.

During the few hours that I'm not working (or subconsciously thinking about what I could be doing even better at work... sad, I know...), I enjoy meeting up with my friends and I am quite partial to a few sociable drinks! I love listening to music and have been known to try my hand on the decks when partying. However, my all time passion is snowboarding. I love that exhilarating feeling of flying down a mountain. Perfect.

Ned Ashley

Hello - I'm Ned and I handle all the tricky technical stuff for Smart Monkey. As a very experienced Java programmer I work to bring a robust, secure and flexible J2EE and/or PHP5 backend platform to Smart Monkey's web application development and to keep it running smoothly.

Background-wise, I've spent a lot of years developing case-management platforms and associated applications for the legal profession. These form the core of operation for a number of legal practices throughout the country.

Day to day I fill my time working on our codebase, planning new applications to bolster the Smart Monkey arsenal and keeping an eye on our in-house web and mail servers. In short, I'm the oil that keeps things moving along smoothly.

I don't have much in the way of spare time as I pack as much work in as I can whilst here in the UK, so that I can spend a month or two each year in Mozambique practising my Portuguese, Zulu and Tsonga skills! I've made many friends in Southern Mozambique - Va ri yini? Va ri ndza penga!

Melvin Smart

Melvin is our funky little brand monkey and as such, his job at Smart Monkey Marketing is extremely important. He works tirelessly to ensure that all of our communications are integrated, in sync and that we stand out from our competitors.

Melvin helps us to reflect Smart Monkey's business values: 'a dedication to creating marketing strategies that generate real results combined with good honest fun and a great team'.

Melvin's proudest moment was when his appearance in the space shuttle email that launched the Smart Monkey website was recognised as an example of best practice by Brighton based email & SMS marketing solutions giant, Pure.

In his spare time, Melvin enjoys hanging around. He is very partial to a PG Tips brew and always ensures he keeps on top of his 'five a day' with the help of his favourite fruit - bananas (of course!).
